Agartala, Sep 15 (TIWN): Chief minister Shri Biplab Kumar Deb on Sunday on the 52nd Engineer's day inaugurated iconic city and State name signage of "I love Tripura" and "I love Agartala" at Ujjayanta Palace and at Heritage Park respectively to attract more tourists and specially youths.

In his speech, he shared a message to everyone to move away from greed, only then life will me worthwhile and meaningful. Shri Deb said, "I do not worry of being voted again, my concern is to remove poverty from Tripura in 5 years". He also said that it was unfortunate of the state that in 25 years, leaders with ignorant mentality did not have plans for the welfare of the state but made their own buildings and fences tall.

Deb also pointed that a man should be humble as higher his knowledge is. Not knowing english does not make anyone smaller. He urged the officials of the state to be willing to listen to the greviances of the public even if they could not speak English. He also advised them to get someone who knows the language in the office and make them translate the grievances that are brought to them. "Only if you have Rashtra Prem, you will listen or else you will belittle and ignore them", said the Chief minister. Nation love enriches the nation. He took example of Japan, Germany, Israel and so on to prove the point of how much the nations developed because of their nation love. He also pointed that the state did not develop because in past 25 years there was no nation love in the system.

He also said, "I do not want to order around, I want to share work/ duties so that we rise together". With that, Shri Deb requested the engineers not to wait to be commanded by someone but to willingly check their areas, roads etc in every 15 days to check if there is need for maintenance. Shri Deb said emphasized not to give in to any kind of greed but only to have greed for work and the motherland. Engineers are the representatives of Lord Viswakarma, engineers build the future and they can help transform the state into a model state.

Apart from the Chief minister, Vice President of State Engineer's Association Shri Debashish Das Gupta, General Secretary of State Engineer's Association Shri Bulbul Chandra Das, Ex Chief Engineer PWD Water resource Shri Tapan Lodh were present in the programme.
