It was demonstrated by Chief Minister Biplab Deb today after he used police force to prevent unemployed youths from meeting him. Since morning the Veterinary job aspirants wanted to meet Chief Minister Biplab Deb and gathered in front of his quarter but instead of meeting them and to know what is the issue, Biplab Deb used police as medium to tell the unemployed youths to come with appointments. But fact is that the youths were trying to get an appointment for 2 months and application is already submitted in Secretariat but no appointment was given. The Veterinary Doctors told media that after 7 years, there was a ray of jobs in Veterinary Dept after Chief Minister Biplab Deb yesterday posted in his social media that 16 posts will be filled up for Veterinary Officers (VO) but first of all, 16 posts are very minimum as per expectations of the job aspirants amid huge vacancies and secondly all vacant seats were for SC and ST candidates, leaving no space for the UR category. Various Departments including Health Dept are suffering due to vacancies although BJP before 2018 election promised to the unemployed youths that 50,000 Govt Posts which were left vacant under the then Left Govt will be filled up within 1 year of the BJP Govt formation. | 26-Jun-2021 |
