Containment Zone areas sealed in Agartal | AGARTALA, May 12 (TIWN): District Magistrate has announced Section 144 at 3 hotpot areas of Covid-19 in Agartala. The areas are Ward No-5, 21 and 46. Till late night since the announcement the officials on-duty remained on the ground and were seen working to seal the areas dedicatedly. Covid-19 Alarming Situation in Tripura a | AGARTALA, May 12 (TIWN): Opposition party CPI-M has asked the BJP led State Govt to organize more numbers of testing as the Covid-19 cases are alarming and the increasing rates also worsening. Massive Coronavirus cases' rise have been recorded in Tripura in the last 24 hours with a total 11 deaths and 466 new cases have been recorded. 6288 total tests were done today and 466 Covid positive cases have been reported. The latest Covid death and positivity rates in Tripura of 24 hours were record breaking for the year 2021. Rapid Antigen Testing has been started in AMC areas. At the same time, the national record of Covid-19 is also alarming. India has recorded 3.29 Lakh Fresh COVID-19 Cases, 3,876 Deaths. Based on secret information, police raided the house of Jitesh Choudhury, S/O Mohan lal Choudhury, Gangagatipur, Mohanpur and seized huge amounts of narcotic items. The seized items are : 1) Ganja 20kg 2) 260 gram suspected brown sugar packed in 25 soap cases, 3) Cash of Rs.1 lakh 10 thousand. The accused Jitesh Choudhury is detained and brought to SDI PS alongwith recovered items and will be produced before the court. A specific case under NDPS Act is regd at SDI PS under sec 21c/20(b)(c)/25/29 ndps act has been filed against Jitesh and also his brother.
