AGARTALA, May 12 (TIWN): On behalf of Unakoti District Committee CPI-M representatives placed deputation to the District Magistrate of Unakoti with nine-point demands.
After placing deputation, the delegates attended a press conference at the District’s Party office. Krishnendu Chowdhury, Unakoti District Committee Secretary, Swapan Bainab, Kumarghat Sub-Divisional Committee Secretary, Mobswar Ali, MLA and Member of Unakoti District Committee were present at the press conference.
In the press conference, District Secretary Krishnendu Chowdhury said that the families that do not pay income tax should be given financial assistance in cash with minimum Rs 7,500 per month in this pandemic situation. COVID tests should be increased and also demanded to increase health centres in Subdivisions, to arrange oxygen in sufficient quantities.
The Party further demanded to arrange health insurance for frontline worker Doctors, Nurses, etc all health workers. Deputation was given to the district magistrate with nine point demand.
