AGARTALA, May 12 (TIWN): After the PRTI in Agartala now several COVID positive patients escaped from Ambasa PRTI this time. COVID positive patients were able to escape at Monday late night, evading tight security.
However, administrative officials including the police are keeping their eyes closed on the statistics of fugitive Corona infected patients, and the health official reluctant to comment further in front of the media regarding the statistics of escaped patients.
According to the sources, 25 COVID positive patients escaped from that Ambasa PRTI building by breaking the grill at the back of the PRTI building.
While police were asked by the media about how many patients escaped from the PRTI building, Police could not say exactly how many escaped. But police sources claimed that almost 7 escaped patients had been caught from Ambasa Railway Station and the rest COVID positive patients yet fugitive and police were not able to trace the escaped patients.
Sources said fugitive COVID positive patients had come from other states to work for a tower company in Ambassa.
After receiving the news Dhalai district Additional SP Kallol Roy, Ambasa sub-divisional police officer, Ashish Das Gupta, Ambasa PS, OC Himadri Sarkar and a large police force rushed to the spot.
