10323 Teachers JMC says, they will wait | AGARTALA, Jan 15 (TIWN): On the 40th day of JMC of the 10323 teachers has said that the teachers to wait till tomorrow as the Education Dept had sought time till 16th January to reply to their all legal queries. Talking to media, JMC member Kamal Dey said that as the Education Secretary promised the teachers to reply by 16th, so they will wait till then but if tomorrow no satisfactory answer can be given by the Education Dept, then the protest will be escalated like it was never before. Tomorrow however, the JMC is scheduled to meet the Education Secretary whom they met on January 13 and submitted a memorandum with such legal queries as - 1) Where are the 10323 teachers' names in petition and in verdict ? 2) Why no termination letter was given etc. The teachers who started protest from December 7 are still continuing their agitation without a failure. 'TET Qualifying does not mean Job Qualif | AGARTALA, Jan 15 (TIWN): Tripura Education Minister Ratanlal Nath who before 2 years had provoked Job-Lollipops in teaching career saying, there have been 14,000 vacant posts of teachers in Tripura but due to qualified candidates crisis, the Dept is incapable to recruit sufficient numbers of teachers, taking an opposite direction of his previously saying statement, now said that TET-Qualifying does not mean that the person will get job immediately but the person's name rather will go to the waiting list. However, the Minister also mentioned that few of the TET qualified persons have now become over-age and Govt is not sure, what it will do with that. Before 2 months, the Minister assured that thousands of teachers to be recruited within January 1st week but again now he said, TRBT could not give sufficient teachers for recruitment and the process of the recruitment with TRBT's permission will kick off from January 20. | 15-Jan-2021 |
