BISHALGRAH, Jan 16 (TIWN): In a press conference held by Sepahijala District Health and Family Welfare Association, Sepahijala District Health Officer Ranjan Biswas said that the first phase of the COVID 19 vaccine will start from January 16 at Melaghar Hospital and Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital. The Anganwari workers of Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital and Melaghar Hospital will be vaccinated tomorrow.
From January 18, in a total of 18 centers, including PHC and CSCs vaccines will be provided free of cost to 4754 health and social workers of Sepahijala district in the first phase out of 5600 vaccines received. The second vaccine will be given 28 days after the first vaccine.
The vaccination centers will have police personnel, sports personnel, social welfare department staff, and health workers.
A total of 21 teams have been formed. In case of a problem, call centers have been set up at Bishalgarh and Melaghar.
On the first day, 300 health workers and social welfare workers will be vaccinated at Bishalgarh and Melaghar Hospitals.
The first vaccine will be given for free. In the second phase, the vaccine will be given at 208 places in Sipahijala district.
