AGARTALA, Jan 26 (TIWN): The 10323 teachers under the "Joint Movement Committee" (JMC) has held a torchlight procession in Agartala and thousands of terminated teachers had joined the procession today evening which has shaken the capital city. The angry teachers, who are protesting for 51 days long under the open sky, without getting a single call from the Govt has lashed out at the Govt for its inhuman behavior. Addressing media in a message to Tripura Govt JMC member Bijoy Krishna Saha said, "Don't play with Fire. 10323 teachers are now in form of Fire and so don't play anymore with the fire. We gave you enough time. Now, you don't have to come to us. We are coming to you, as we said, enough of Gandhism and now we are in Charampanthi mode". "This is the little portion of the 10323 teachers and tomorrow we are coming with the bigger portion and then you calculate in your style whether it's a big or a small protest", the JMC member told Education Minister Ratanlal Nath via media. Today JMC's protest has marked 51 days which started from December 7, 2020 before Agartala City Centre.
On December 13, the JMC also met the Education Secretary after they met Education Director but although the Secretary was ready to reply the teachers but at last the Secretary almost escaped to face the teachers on the next days.
The teachers said, they were never terminated by Court but the Dept manipulating the meaning of the verdict had terminated them.
