Corona enters in Tripura Central Jail in | BISHALGARH / AGARTALA, June 3 (TIWN) An undertrial who was arrested a few days back in connection with drug smuggling, tested positive for COVID-19 in Tripura.Tripura government spokesman and Law and Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that in all 29 contacts of the undertrial man, including jailors and undertrials were identified and their swab samples would be tested. Police said that the man was arrested from Madhupur under Sepahijala district (in western Tripura) under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and lodged at the Central Jail in Bishalgarh, 30 km south of Agartala.Tripura COVID-19 cases continues to rise with 520 persons so far tested positive and 173 were cured. COVID-19 suspect Patient committed suici | AGARTALA, June 2 (TIWN): Corona-virus suspected patient has committed suicide in GB hospital’s bathroom, erupted massive resentment among the family members, tension in the hospital premise. But major accusations are coming against GB Flu centre authority as family members alleged that even after suspecting her as a COVID-19 patient, she was not seen by Doctors closely. She was just left in pain, no oxygen was given to her, neither any medicine at earlies, although she was admitted at 11 am on yesterday (Monday). Today morning her body was found hanging in bathroom, which has been done with post mortem. She was taken to Madhupur hospital, TMC, IGM and then in GB. She was a multiple organ diseased patient but from 2 weeks, she was facing breathing problems. She is 50 years old, was admitted in GB hospital from Monday , her Covid-19 report found positive after her death on Tuesday. New born baby dies mysteriously in Agart | AGARTALA, June 2 (TIWN): A new born baby has died mysteriously in Agartala’s renowned nursing home, the “Lifeline Nursing Homeâ€. From Doctors’ side, no clarification has been given to media about the exact cause of the death, however, suspected as Aspiration. Talking to a Doctor, he said, "Our nurses come in time but there are also responsibility on the mother. Most likely it was due to breathing sign problems, but the baby's mother did not inform anything and it happened". Tripura COVID-19 Cases at a rapid rise | AGARTALA, June 1 (TIWN): Tripura’s COVID-19 cases are increasing massively with 34 new positive cases have been tested in Tripura. Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb will be visiting two Districts – Khowai, Gomati on Monday to check the quarantine status and medical care status of the areas. On yesterday, all the COVID-19 positive cases were tested among Chennai returners. Out of 633 samples had been tested for, 34 people found positive. On Saturday, more total of 798 samples were tested, out of which 17 were found positive for COVID19. However, there is no report of any death in Tripura due to COVID19 infection while 3 cases migrated from the state. Chief Minister Biplab Deb has announced about sample collections and tests of all returnees to state.
