Tripura COVID-19 cases raised to 867 : T | AGARTALA, June 10 (TIWN): Tripura’s COVID-19 cases are spiking up at high numbers and with the increasing numbers of cases in the state, panic remains on peak. Already, while serving the COVID-19 patients, one Doctor has been infected by the virus, now under treatment. After COVID-19 first patient's death, 26 persons freshly tested positive in state on Tuesday. But when COVID-19 cases are increasing, tension among the common men are also going high, generating sometimes law and order problems. COVID-19 Patient’s death erupted | AGARTALA, June 9 (TIWN): Ignorance among masses about Corona-virus spreading has once again erupted a drama in the crematorium ground in Agartala. Previously, when a COVID-19 patient committed suicide in the GB hospital’s flu centre, same situation occurred after the body was taken to Ramanagar graveyard. Later the body was taken to Matinagar border area for funeral. Today evening when Late Biswa Kumar Debbarma's dead body released from hospital and taken to Battala crematorium, locals stopped the administration and the crematorium workers rejected to touch the body. Incredible Tripura ! Widow Woman beaten | AGARTALA, June 9 (TIWN): When world is developing fast with the 21st century era, few incidents draw this existing society back to the primitive culture. In such an incident, state Tripura which claimed for highest literacy rate has reported with crime-spree at the cost of superstitions, whereas police officer appointed in the village PS has also given full support to the villagers by denying to arrest the culprits. The widow was beaten at Champaknagar’s Chinkram Conra Para on 29th May, 2020, Friday by villagers, accusing her as a witch. She was attempted to be murdered on spot but later when police rescued her she luckily survived but still critical to her health at the GB hospital. From local hospital, she was referred to GB hospital, where she is undergoing treatment. But even after 12 days crossed since the incident, Police could not arrest a single person. Damaged Water pump affecting over hundre | AGARTALA, June 7 (TIWN): Due to water machines are left damaged, in various areas severe water crisis have hit the state. In such a crisis, Panisgagar subdivision is also suffering where farmers alleged that due to lack of maintenance the water machines left damage but the authority could not repair the machines yet. Reportedly, in last 1 year water pump machine are left non-functional in Panisagar subdivision’s East Jalabasa Gram Panchayat’s No-4 ward. Around 70 to 80 farmers’ families are being affected due to the water machines non-functional conditions. In the same way more farmers are being affected in various parts of Panisagar subdivision. The farmers are not getting sufficient water for their cultivation, neither the administration took any initiative for restoration of the machines. Tripura Education Minister denies to giv | AGARTALA, June 6 (TIWN): Education Minister Ratanlal Nath on Saturday said that job-data is only possible to give together, not in parts. The answer came from the Minister after a media person asked him, how many jobs the BJP Govt has given in the lockdown period. Replying media queries, Nath said, “I told you everything on yesterday. How many jobs were given in last 2 years it was said, but in parts can’t be said, because there are various schemes ongoing during lockdown. Then, I have to start from beginning again". It has been known from the local people of Jampuijala Subdivision that from 11 days in Srirampur Gram Panchayat’s Kanta Jela Kathalia Mora’s No-3 ward is reeling under a total shutdown but even after complaining to the authority no solution came out. Community transmission of COVID-19 chanc | AGARTALA, June 6 (TIWN): With coronavirus cases increasing rapidly in the northeastern states and crossing the 3,000-mark and around 700 in Tripura, the state Governments in the region warned they would take stern action against those violating quarantine norms.
