AGARTALA, June 1 (TIWN): Reacting over CPI-M protest against Crime against Women, Tripura BJP women wing President Papia Dutta claimed that CPI-M is trying to spread Corona-Virus and thus trying to protest in the name of increasing crime against women.
However, the statement came from Papiya Dutta who herself involved in a “Joggyo” (homage) programme without masks and maintaining social distancing recently and also gathered in temple to light candle to celebrate BJP’s programme but police took no action against her.
She said, under BJP Govt, crime against women decreased 10% but still if anything happens, BJP workers rush to the spot but in time of CPI-M, they never visited those places.
She further blamed that CPI-M’s culture is based on violence, but BJP is not like this.
On the other side, 1 senior CPI-M woman member was injured, her heart beat went high after a young lady police officer led by other police officials attacked all of a sudden in CPI-M’s woman wing’s silent protest. The attack was seen in live telecast and the video goes viral.
She was seen stretched to bus for making her arrest and after she denied to go for arrest she was further stretched and injured in her feet in that tussle.
