No arrests yet in Gandacherra Brutal mur | GANDACHERA, June 27 (TIWN): In the horrifying incident of Gandachera, where an IPFT worker was beaten to death, leaving his wife critically injured, today MP Rebati Tripura has visited the spot, met family promising full justice to them. Also, MP Rebati Tripura told media that Govt will be helping the family with financial assurances as per guideline as two little children became fatherless. “Whatever happened is pathetic, but police are investigating properly. We assure justice to the victim family with full financial supportâ€, said MP Rebati Tripura. On the other side, IPFT said that whoever is the culprit but police have to do proper investigation. This incident has generated tensions in Gandachera.This incident took place in Narayanpur ADC village’s Muslim Para resident Owasir Ali’s home. A group of miscreants entered his home and had injured him and his wife with sharp weapon. Specially, the Jhumia families are in much trouble as due to lockdown, they are unable to sale their vegetables. It was time, when on the both sides of roads, lots of sellers were seen seated and customers were available too. Mostly the travelers by cars, bikes used to stop and purchase these items but with the lockdown going on, the situation of the sellers are in tight condition. Mostly they are Jhumia families. Tripura’s COVID-19 Recovery Rate | AGARTALA, June 26 (TIWN): Tripura’s Coronavirus patients’ recovery rate is 81% which is a record breaking percentage. Addressing media, Law Minister Ratanlal Nath said that at the national level, the COVID-19 recovery rate is only 53% whereas Tripura has broken that record. "Many people might feel sad seeing the good things happening in Tripura but this is a good news indeed", added the Minister. Tripura’s COVID-19 cases reached to 1295 and patient recovered 1019. Total 276 patients are under treatment that are active cases. However, India crossed the tragic milestone of 15,000 Covid casualties on Thursday with 402 fresh deaths pushing the cumulative toll to 15,300.
