Since 3 months, ongoing power cut issues have hit normal lives, due to scorching heat of the summers, but there is no statement yet given by the Power Dept headed by Deputy CM Jishnu Dev Barman reason behind the ongoing load-shedding problems. TIWN is receiving hundreds of mails regarding this issue and sleepless nights are haunting the public. However, Deb argued that the difference between CPI-M and BJP ruling will be differed in reasons. “Whereas CPI-M stayed in power by looting people’s money, BJP will hold the power by working for the peopleâ€, said Biplab Deb hinting that in the next budget, Govt may increase the paddy-buying funds massively as his Food Dept Director Debasish Basu has suggested Rs. 170 crores of budget sanctioning which can assure the farmers that Tripura Govt will buy 1 lakh matric ton of paddies at minimum support price. Biplab Deb alleged, CPI-M Govt had licensed 65,000 fake ration cards which helped it to loot 63 crores per financial year. “CPI-M ruled for 25 years by looting 63 crores per year and BJP will rule for 50 years by 170 crores of budget for buying paddiesâ€, said Deb. ‘63,000 Fake Ration cards in Commu | AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, June 12 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Wednesday has launched subsidized sugar ratioing system at Rs. 23 per kilo for all ration card holders. While launching the ratioing, Deb said that his Government has managed this subsidy from a huge saved amount this year which was bearing as a burden every year by the Govt of Tripura before BJP Govt came in power and that burden was resulted from 63,000 fake ration cards mounting Rs. 63 crores of losses per year. Biplab Deb said, even after distribution sugar, there will be much savings from the saved amount and soon Govt will start distribution of cooking oil and few more commodities. ‘Tripura Agricultural Science Soci | AGARTALA, June 11 (TIWN): Tripura Agricultural Science Society has written a letter to Chief Minister Biplab Deb regarding various problems the Dept is undergoing due to reluctant officials. In the letter, it was written that the way Agriculture Dept is working without any modification even after the Govt changed, no hope for doubling farmers incomes by 2022 if the whole system is not modified, even though the Agriculture Minister and his Dept laying best efforts for the development. Reluctant attitude of the Govt employees without development in attitudes was alleged in the letter written the Chief Minister. The letter was signed by member of Tripura Agricultural Science Society Dr Rajib Das suggesting Govt has to focus on such productions along with main productions which will be profitable and increase farmers’ incomes. There are above 14 subjects in relation to the agriculture which is the reason why various subjects’ scientists have been appointed across India. Right to Information’s ‘Rig | AGARTALA, June 10 (TIWN): PTI has reported today that the Election Commission has declined to share details on alleged poll code violations by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other politicians during the Lok Sabha election campaign and subsequent clean chits given to them, saying compilation of the information would disproportionately divert its resources.In a reply to an RTI query, the poll body also declined to provide a copy of file noting of dissent notes given by one of the two Election Commissioners while deciding on the cases of violations of the model code of conduct by the prime minister. Now days, various sections are not replying RTI pleas, which is a strict violation of fundamental rights.
