Sugar rationing at Rs. 23 / Kilo begins in Tripura

AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, June 12 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb has inaugurated sugar-ratioing system in Tripura at Rs. 23 per kilo.

Minister Manoj Deb, Tripura MP Rebati Tripura, Debasish Modok, Director of Food and Civil Supplies were present on the occasion.

All ration card holders will be getting 1 kilo of sugar under govt-subsidy from this month. Biplab Deb said, it's not a petty matter that a 14 month's Govt is able to distribute rationing at low rate which could not be done by the previous Govt in 25 years. 

While addressing, Chief Minister Biplab Deb has slammed the previous Communist Govt alleging it was failed to distribute proper ratioing to the people.

The programme was organized at Agartala Town Hall in this purpose. Per Kilo sugar’s price will be Rs. 23. Tripura Govt will give subsidy of Rs. 17.80. 

Chief Minister announced that the state govt will think over to give cooking oil under subsidy in coming days.
