AGARTALA, June 12 (TIWN): Northeast state Tripura will get first College for ST students.
It will be possible by next year after Tripura gets total 10 Ekalavya schools.
Tripura right now has four Ekalavya schools and Govt of Tripura has promised to complete more 6 schools works by 2020. Then Tripura will have 10 schools, enough to get permission to form a College.
Tribal Welfare Minister Mebar Jamatia said, in last 25 years only four Ekalavya schools were built but now already 18 schools’ permission has been granted. So within next year College construction will start and already Govt of India has permitted for that.
Ekalavya schools are aimed to provide quality education with limited numbers of students and from all schools only selected students likely to get admission in the College.
