AGARTALA, June 11 (TIWN): Rs. 98 crore’s Rose Valley scam will be investigated by CBI now in Tripura after almost one and half year of the BJP Govt formation in the state.
CBI reportedly will visit Tripura soon and interrogate the accused masterminds of the scam. The move by CBI is going to happen shortly after State Govt of Tripura wrote a letter to the Centre on 22nd May under notification No- N.F. 13 (24) PD/15/(Part)/1734, Home Dept Govt of Tripura.
It’s believed that after Amit Shah took charge of Union Home Ministry many dumped cases will be unearthed now across the country.
Earlier, CBI had interrogated former CPI-M Minister Bijita Nath, CPI-M State General Secretary cum former Editor of Daily Desher Katha Gautam Das in this chit fund scam on June 29, 2017.
Back in 2016, Rose Valley Director of Tripura Ashok Saha was arrested and now in Odisha jail.
Recently also BJP party here in Tripura has told reporters about Govt’s move for Rose Valley chitfund case’s probe.
On 22nd May Secretary of Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions requested for proper investigation by Tripura Govt which has allegedly mounted a scam of 98 crores.
