CMIE monthly report on Unemployment : Tr | AGARTALA, July 1 (TIWN): Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy’s (CMIE) monthly report for June-2019 was published on Monday morning, once again, ranking Tripura as the topper state in unemployment rate. The unemployment rate which is mounting across the country however has decreased 4% in Tripura in compare to the last months. On May-2019 the unemployment rate was 30.2% whereas this month it’s 26.2%. Still, Tripura tops in unemployment rate in compare to other 29 states of India. The second topper state is Haryana with 22.1% and Jammu & Kashmir is second with 14.9%. The massive increasing unemployment rate is due to a drop in Govt job recruitments leaving thousands of TPSC job aspirants unemployed. A crisis in the Govt job distribution was felt in last one year as Tripura never developed not only industrialization but IT and software companies in the state. Tripura Govt targets 1500 Educational lo | AGARTALA, June 29 (TIWN): Govt of Tripura has taken firm decision to ease the Education loan issues. In an official letter to the Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary to CM, Saumya Gupta RD Dept Secretary said, sanction of Educational loans under CSIS would overcome the financial distress of the meritorious students. The Govt has targeted 1500 loans this year and also aimed to aware the beneficiaries. It can be mentioned here that one of the major objectives of the Government is to ensure that no student is denied the opportunity to pursue higher education because he or she is poor. To achieve this objective, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) launched a Scheme titled "Central Sector Interest Subsidy Scheme" (CSIS) in 2009. The scheme provides full interest subsidy during the moratorium period on modern education loans without any collateral security and third-party guarantee, for pursuing technical/professional courses in India. Students whose annual gross parental/ family income is up to Rs.4.5 lakhs are eligible under the scheme. Unemployment problem hits Tripura | AGARTALA, June 29 (TIWN): According to media and official data records Tripura is the state which tops in unemployment amongst all the 29 states of India by 2018-19. However, Tripura’s unemployment rate is a major problem for the Governments who ruled the state and the state has been consistently topped in unemployment rate for many years. According to report, Tripura High Court has directed Tripura Police for taking proper and neutral action against MLA Ram Prasad Pal and few more BJP activists against whom cases were registered after Lok Sabha Election clashes, on the very day of May 23rd, but never investigated. On the day of Lok Sabha Election result, a massive clash occurred between BJP’s two groups, even firing was alleged, in Amtali Siddhi Asram area.
