AGARTALA, June 27 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb has congratulated Arshiya Das for winning bronze medal in Asian School Chess Championship.
In a tweet CM said, “Congratulations Arshiya for winning Bronze Medal ( under 9 girls category ) in Asian School Chess Championship, 2019 organised at Uzbekistan . You are a pride of our state and I wish you all the best for your brilliant future. She has also secured first position and won Gold medal in the Blitz event of the same tournament”.
It can be mentioned here that on the request of Chief Minister Biplab Deb, OTPC has recently made Arshiya Das, chess gem of Tripura as the brand ambassador and started to help her financially.
8 years old girl Arshiya Das has represented India in the Asian School Chess Championship being held in Uzbekistan and bagged bronze medal.
She is a student of class-III in Holy Cross School in Agartala. She had started playing chess when she was five years old and has won many tournaments across the country.
