TIWN July 1, 2019
AGARTALA, July 1 (TIWN): In contrary to direct warnings from Chief Minister Biplab Deb to Govt Employees to improve work culture in their offices but TIWN’s field visits found nothing improved from CPI-M era. Surprisingly, majority of CPI-M era’s cadres, workers Union members wasted no time to jump into BJP and continued their traditional work culture of roaming for personal work or sitting at home after signing attendance registers. After multiple emails from TIWN’s readers, TIWN field team visited SDM Sadar Agartala Office Caste Dept section on June 24,2019 and witnessed how over 10 to 15 people are waiting for Govt officials for 2 hours but none to be seen in their chairs. Hapless public told TIWN that many of them coming since a week but Govt officials are not at their desks.
TIWN also found that much hyped biometric machines in State Secretariat barely functioning in smooth manner as many of them are under repair.
In various State Govt office around Agartala, work culture failed to improve after BJP took over power.
As per various sources, it was found that same CPI-M Era culture of skipping office after attendance register signing continuing in BJP Era as most of these erring officials registered themselves as BJP Bhakts.
