AGARTALA, June 30 (TIWN): Even after having no shortage in power surplus in Tripura, state is reeling under massive power cut problems. Dept’s Minister Jishnu Dev Barman has slammed the previous CPI-M Govt for that saying, it’s responsible for poor infrastructure of the dept bound the present BJP Govt to receive loan of 1200 crores from Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The Asian Development Bank is a regional development bank established on 19 December 1966, which is headquartered in the Ortigas Center located in the city of Mandaluyong, Metro Manila, Philippines. The company also maintains 31 field offices around the world to promote social and economic development in Asia.
“Even after having enough power generation so far public are unable to get the benefits and the reason is poor infrastructure.I don’t want to criticize anyone but the transformers bought by the previous Govt was very poor quality. When we make a road, we should look after the longevity”, said Dev Barman.
The statement came from the Minister after he visited Electricity Sub-Division Offices at Bordowali, Amtali and Shekerkote on yesterday.
