Manik Sarkar 'poisons' | DHANPUR, Feb 24 (TIWN): Both Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and BJP State President Biplab Deb today have campaigned at 23-Dhanpur constituency on behalf of their parties as Election Commission has announced re-poll in Dhanpur and 5 other polling stations on February 26. Whereas Manik Sarkar had chosen to address a small-rally, BJP State President Biplab Deb with BJP candidate Pratima Bhowmik went in door to door campaigning. But both the leaders' stands against Election Commission was just opposite with each-other. However, after 4 PM today security to be further tightened under section 144 in each places to ensure free and fair election and campaigning also will be restricted. "Taking all the parameters for development into consideration, rough estimates indicate that the likely allocation on the construction of roads in the 8 States of the NE India may vary between Rs.26,000 crore to Rs.31,000 crore", said Ministry of Development for Northeast region. "Roads are one of the single most important development demands from the NE States.
