AGARTALA, Feb 23 (TIWN): Questioning Election Commission’s neutrality, CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar has warned CEO, if peace during polls are not maintained then public will 'Come-on-the-Field' ! "The way CEO has sent the reports to Election Commission it's clear that his role is partial and exactly those booths were selected for re-polling, where CPI-M's winning chance is sure, so that oppositions get another chance". Bijan Dhar further said, "It's quite surprising there is no mention of Takarjala. We demand EC's decision on Takarjala's re-poll. Moreover, the current scenario says that peaceful vote counting at Takarjala is not possible and thus counting centre should also be removed from the there. Along with Takarjala, Golaghati's counting should also be shifted"."We wanted to meet the CEO yesterday but he was busy in a video conference", said Dhar.

"Now, we will not urge anymore. Political fight must be political and we will face it fully", he added.

One thing is clear, that the re-polling has hit the CPI-M heavily as it's only the ruling CPI-M expressing much angers with the re-poll announcement.

The CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar also has blasted the state election commission for high negligence alleging the ''Democracy has been Corporatized, Privatized".

"3 types of instructions are there. One is about the re-polling in 6 constituencies another is about counting via VVPAT slips and the 3rd category is if any party wins by 1 votes then the returning officer can't announce the result. We like to categorically mention that the state election commission is responsible for it. The criminal callousness has been done not by any political party or voters but by the state election commission", Bijan Dhar.

"Voters are very much tired and exhausted. No political party wanted re-polling", said Bijan Dhar.

Dhar further told BJP, IPFT supporting voters, "We appeal to you that earlier you voted for BJP, IPFT like communal forces, but now your vote should be against criminal offence of negligence of the state election authority and such forces".

Dhar added, "In 10 polling booths CPI-M polling agents were not allowed to enter. Voters were threatened".

"We demanded at Golaghati and Takarjala the counting centers should be shifted. However, we haven't received any response yet", added Dhar.

Noteworthy, the Central Election Commission Secretary Arvind Anand ordered to conduct re-polls in 6 poll-stations of 6 constituencies of Tripura on February 26, just 8 days after the Assembly Poll was completed. The 6 poll-stations are : 22-Sonamura, 23-Dhanpur, 28-Teliamura, 40-Sabroom,41-Ampinagar, 54-Kadamtala-Kurti.
