AGARTALA, Feb 23 (TIWN): After the re-poll for Tripura's 6 polling stations was announced by Election Commission of India, the ruling political party of Tripura CPI-M has hit the Election Commission, especially the CEO Sriram Taranikanti, accusing him for manipulating vote-banks. But in the evening press meet, the CEO Sriram Taranikanti was seen with totally positive attitudes saying, "Let's not go for any statement of anybody. 6 polling stations are very less in numbers and nothing is abnormal in this re-poll. This time from physically challenged people to very old persons had cast their votes and thus delay in poll completion and few other technical issues we had to face, which is very natural to preserve the transparency". Regarding EC's role, the CEO said, "Our neutrality is totally neutral and we work for the Constitution".

"Once the poll is ended we can discuss on this but my focus now is to have the re-poll with 100 % efforts. Nobody will be deprived in the re-poll, but all will get chance to vote again. We have to complete the job in hand first".

The CEO also mentioned that there were only 2.5 % of EVM disturbances, whereas in some places the officers couldn't identify  simple problems like loose plugging etc and the issues became unnecessarily big.
