AGARTALA, June 10 (TIWN): Tripura’s COVID-19 cases are spiking up at high numbers and with the increasing numbers of cases in the state, panic remains on peak. Already, while serving the COVID-19 patients, one Doctor has been infected by the virus, now under treatment. After COVID-19 first patient's death, 26 persons freshly tested positive in state on Tuesday. But when COVID-19 cases are increasing, tension among the common men are also going high, generating sometimes law and order problems. Either centering COVID-19 care centre in Bhagat Singh Youth hostel or centering funeral of the COVID-10 patients’ dead bodies, state is witnesses chaos and disturbances, putting the administration in problem.

As a result, once again a drama in the crematorium ground in Agartala was seen on yesterday.

Previously, when a COVID-19 patient committed suicide in the GB hospital’s flu centre, same situation occurred after the body was taken to Ramanagar graveyard. Later the body was taken to Matinagar border area for funeral. Yesterday evening when Late Biswa Kumar Debbarma's dead body released from hospital and taken to Battala crematorium, locals stopped the administration and the crematorium workers rejected to touch the body.

All these, created a tension in Battala. No local leader was seen on spot to control the situation. Tripura has reported first COVID-19 death in state officially. Chief Minister Biplab Deb in a tweet has announced, “Unfortunate to share that Mr. Biswa Kumar Debbarma, a COVID19 patient from West Tripura, is no more. Our Doctors gave their best but failed to save his precious life. On 1st May, he suffered a stroke (CVA) and was a patient of hypertension”.

Earlier, another COVID-19 patient had committed suicide in GB hospital but she ended her life before she was tested positive and thus Biswa Kumar Debbarma has been considered as the first COVID-19 deceased. Tripura COVID-19 cases have raised to 841 and already ‘Community Transmission’ has been under deep suspects.
