AGARTALA, June 8 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Monday while addressing in a programme at Rabindra Bhawan, dedicated for Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan scheme based loan distribution, has expressed resentment over public’s carelessness attitude against Covid-outbreak since the beginning of lockdown announcement. He mentioned, how the State Govt and Health Dept were requesting the people to follow guidelines for the common men and also 14 days home quarantines for the Home returnees but nobody cared about Govt’s guidelines and as a result today Tripura’s COVID-19 cases are on high rate. “We closed the COVID-19 chapters with 2 patients long back but again it started firstly after BSF 138 Bn which did not follow national guidelines and then common men started jointly with their careless attitude.
He further said, “We have done our duty by bringing the stranded people to home but now it is their responsibility to follow Home Quarantine, regardless positive or negative reports”, said Deb.
"I feel sad ! Govt is trying at its best but a large number of people are not supportive. Tripura is the state which has done highest numbers of COVID-19 tests", said CM.
