AGARTALA, June 6 (TIWN): Although electricity charges have been hiked in state and high metre reading causing hefty amounts of bills to the households, but in Tripura villages, there is no relief from the traditional power cut problems. It has been known from the local people of Jampuijala Subdivision that from 11 days in Srirampur Gram Panchayat’s Kanta Jela Kathalia Mora’s No-3 ward is reeling under a total shutdown but even after complaining to the authority no solution came out. The local people came to the electric office with their problems demanding immediate solution to their worries. This load-shedding not only causing problems in suffocating summer but water connectivity is also stopped as due to power cut, supply connections are cut off.The suffered people also alleged that even the local Panchayat members have no concern about the problem. They alleged, electric dept told them that before 2 months, their problems can not be solved.

On the other side, Ministers never leaves an opportunity to claim in public that Tripura has become a load-shedding free state.

Due to rain and storms the load-shedding had occurred.TSECL staffs reportedly went there but they failed to restore the connection, rather, one of them were injured during work but ultimately no solution received by the locals. 

When media visited at 10.45 am, no official was seen, whereas the complainers were waiting outside for officials' arrival.
