Ambulance driver was harassed by COVID19 | AGARTALA, May 5 (TIWN): In a shocking allegation raised by an ambulance driver, who carried 5 COVID19 positive patients from Ambassa to GB hospital, said that he was forced to stop his ambulance two points by the patients and when he tried to advise them, they shouted against him asking, whether they are animals ? The patients stopped in those places and took rests (those are forest like areas). Reportedly, then the windows were kept open and they also spitted outside on road. However, it was informed that the patients were already brought on yesterday night but today it is clear that all the patients were not brought yesterday in GB hospital quarantine centre. On being asked by media, why the ambulance window was open, the driver said that the patients complained that they were having breathing problem and thus forced to open the windows. Chaos in Agartala as fights erupted betw | AGARTALA, May 5 (TIWN): When State Govt and Centre had prohibited open open urination and spitting, the practice has been continuing amid COVID19 pandemic. A massive fight erupted between AMC workers and a CWC Engineer in Agartala after the Govt employee asked the AMC worker to stop urination over drains. Open urination is prohibited due to COVID19 pandemic and when the Govt employee stopped him, then the fight started first verbally, resulted in physical fight. AMC workers rushed to Ramnagar Police station and complained to the police official. The councilor also lodged FIR against the official. On being asked by media, the police official said that the AMC workers have alleged that one of their colleagues were beaten heavily after he did open urination. On the other side, the detained Govt employee said that he used force after he was attacked by the AMC staff who was doing urination. The beaten AMC worker has been identified as Ganesh Das. Excise dept SP said that any such activity of charging customers higher than the MRP will cost the shop with heavy actions. Also, the dept has warned all the businessmen to keep the MRP price from customers. The violator shop-keeper has been identified Ashok Kumar Roy, a liquor seller in Agartala. His shop No is 2 in Hawkers Corner, Agartala. Addressing media Sabyasachi Singh, SP Excise Dept said that these shops are opened under Govt's protocols and any violator will be brought under action.
