AGARTALA, May 4 (TIWN): Throughout the day, thousands of people gathered in front of liquor shops in Agartala, which have opened after a long time of lockdown 2.0 ended and relaxations given. Gathering was witnessed in the counter points, although police are trying their best to control the situations and to keep people at 1 metre distance. On being asked by media about the gathering issue, Law Minister Ratanlal Nath said, “Whatever central govt says, we will follow. People of Tripura are not outside of India. Whatever guideline comes from the Centre, Tripura also will follow the same. Let the centre decide what to do. I will not make any comment about the decision but I am sure, centre has taken the decision after talking to experts”. However, TIWN photojournalist has caught gathering in the entrance points and alter raised question to Law Minister Ratanlal Nath about the gathering. The Minister has urged people to keep social distances. This is not single state that suffering due to long gathering before liquor shops but in big cities also same pictures came out. Delhi is also in media headlines due to long rows before liquor shops.

Till now, Tripura has total 14 COVID19 active cases and 2 more were earlier recovered. 

With MHA ordering relaxations, liquor shops have been opened up across the country but with some strict guidelines of social distancing. However, photos and videos from Delhi, Karnataka and other parts of the country show little of these norms are being followed by people.
