AGARTALA, May 6 (TIWN): Tripura Govt has given strict warning against any type of rumour mongering on COVID19. Chief Minister Biplab Deb has said, “Don't believe in rumours, Govt will take strict action if anyone found spreading any misinformation”. Right now Tripura has 40 active cases and patients have been brought to GB hospital from BSF 138 camp. All the 40 patients are from BSF 138 Bn but the root of the virus goes clueless led Govt to direct IG BSF to provide all background information in details. “Our Govt is keeping close vigil on the current situations. Specialised Doctors are taking care of the Positive patients.I urge everyone not to Panic and Co-operate with Government”, Chief Minister Biplab Deb said. Deb further thanked Doctors and Healthcare Workers of Tripura who are working round the clock and taking care.On Wednesday night, 13 more fresh cases were reported in Tripura as COVID19 positive, triggering public caution allover the State. Numbers of active cases are now 40 and all are from BSF 138 Bn, either Jawans or kids or unit staffs.

All were residing under 138th Bn at Ambassa (Dhalai District) where on May 1st, two positive cases were reported.

Tripura's first COVID19 patient was tested on April 6 and then April 10 with same travel history via Tripura Sundari Train.

Soon after both recovered, Tripura was announced COVID-Free but from May 1st to May 5th, the numbers of positive cases have hugely increased. Right now, total active cases are 40.
