The Transport Dept officials on Monday faced an attack by bus drivers, conductors at Nagerjala bus stand. When the Transport Dept officials were categorizing mini buses and ordinary buses on the basis of seat numbers, the ordinary bus drivers came with massive reactions against the Transport Dept officials. Generally with the 35 seats in number a bus is considered as Mini Bus and Ordinary Buses are being categorized which are having above 35 seats but when few buses with above 35 seats were hanged with banners of Ordinary Bus, then the people engaged in those bus services removed that banner and they said, we have to know what is eligibility of mini bus nationwide. Non-BJP parties not getting Police Permi | AGARTALA, July 29 (TIWN): Tripura opposition parties are facing tough times to get permission to stage 'dharna' or any kind of protest against BJP Govt and when opposition parties are going for rallies without permission, police is filing cases again them. Udaipur case is the latest example where on July 24, CPI-M rally was openly attacked in broad day light whereas Police took action against CPI-M leaders for holding unpermitted rallies even though CPI-M asked for permission before the rally, but police denied. Police only took legal action against CPI-M activists and leaders although 25 CPI-M activists were injured by miscreants attacks. The viral videos of the attackers also couldn’t compel police to take arrest them at Udaipur. Recently one opposition tribal party INPT filed a case in the High Court against the BJP led state Govt for not giving them permission to stage a demonstration. A group of ST and OBC youths rushed before Pragna Bhawan’s interaction programme’s hall today to meet Chief Minister, anyhow stopped by the security guards. The youths wanted to meet the Chief Minister alleging a massive partiality in the admission procedure. The students who were in the top of the merit list were cancelled from selection after counseling. The counseling was called for few minutes and in an open room where all candidates together participated. But during the viva counselling, the marks, seniority-basis issues dumped and the candidates who were not in the merit list they had been selected, alleged the ST students. They wanted to meet the Chief Minister but could not as the administration didn’t permit them.
