Tripura Communist Chief Minister was proudly advertizing that he is not technically expert and can not be a part of the central committee. But this self-advertisement of lacking technological knowledge has left the CM of Tripura with quite controversy. IPFT continues 48 hrs Hunger Strike : CP AGARTALA, Nov 30 (TIWN): Situation at Khumlwng has become critical as more than 24 hrs passed that IPFT supporters are set on hunger strike. Talking to TIWN about IPFT’s strike CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar said, “Let them, what can we do if somebody has decided to die. However, suicide is a crime, whenever Govt will find that somebody is in dying condition due to excessive deteriorating condition of his or her health, then the suicidal crime will not be tolerated and via police or force the Govt will interfere in it”.Dhar also mentioned, “The IPFT itself is now contradictory as the party already have lost its unity and it has been divided into two groups". Pakistan Kills Tripura’s another AGARTALA, Nov 30 (TIWN): After martyr Shambhu Satmura, Tripura lost its another son who has been mercilessly killed by Pakistani militants at Jammu Kashmir’s Nagrota town. The martyr has been identified as Chittaranjan Debbarma, resident of Khowai, under Kalyanpur block, Teliamura subidivision. After the news, panic has gripped the whole state. Tripura politicians, media, officials all expressed condolence for the life loss of the brave Indian army and his family members. Reportedly, seven soldiers, including two officers, were killed in a huge terror attack at an army base near Jammu in the town of Nagrota, just 20 kilometres from the border with Pakistan. A group of heavily-armed suicide attackers in police uniforms entered the army base in Nagrota before daybreak with guns and grenades and forced their way in. 30-Nov-2016

Firing on Tripura's National Highway : 2 AGARTALA / TELIAMURA / AMBASSA, Nov 29 (TIWN): In a sudden hell-fire, 2 persons injured in a firing in Tripura at Mungiakami area, Ambassa-Teliamura road on Monday, which has generated tension across the region. However, from State Govt side there was no declaration about the incident yet and who did the firing it's not yet clear. Talking to Ambassa police, officials said that an incident occurred at Mungiakami area but from the other police stations nothing is clearly informed. Sources said that the injured persons are presently under treatment. Talking to SP West Abhijit Saptarshi he also said that nothing is yet informed officially. If any unwanted incident is there, police will later inform. The incident was held in a running vehicle over NH-44, informed sources. ‘CPI-M’s 12 hrs strike flop AGARTALA, Nov 29 (TIWN): Splitting on the idea of TMC and CPI-M’s alliance, MLA Asish Saha told TIWN that the deadly strike was called by CPI-M, not any other party, and Trinamool would never supported strike, when the country is suffering from cash-crisis. Asking about TMC’s view on Monday strike TMC leader Asish Saha said, “The strike was called by CPI-M, why should it support it ? At West Bengal under Banerjee, the strike was prevented fully”. Tripura's all opposition parties undermi AGARTALA, Nov 28 (TIWN): CPI-M’s 12 hrs strike against demonetization turned into a total chaos in capital Agartala and other parts of Tripura. On Monday, various political parties Congress, Trinamool, BJP, CPI-M with different views, centering on a single issue of demonetization came out on streets causing multiple clashes statewide. At Agartala when BJP began picketing against CPI-M before West PS, SUCI supporting CPI-M’s strike also held a protest. To avoid any untoward incidents, West Dist Police led by SP Abhijit Saptarshi, Addl SP Sharmishtha Chakraborty arrested party members of both political parties and segregated the BJP supporters at AD Nagar ground. On the other hand SUCI members were taken to West police Station, where they continued their protests. Tripura’s ruling CPI-M led shutdo AGARTALA, Nov 28 (TIWN): Resentments brewing against the CPI-M in Tripura due to frequent ‘bandh culture’ snatching poor peoples one day’s income even though it claims itself as the ‘Poor Peoples’ Party'. CPI-M has been ruling over the state since 23 yrs with the votes of majority of poor people, but now the same people are disgruntled against the communists. Public anger was much visible on Monday early morning, when the poor people especially the daily wage workers, rickshaw drivers were running in search of passengers to earn their daily livelihood. Swapan Das, a rickshaw driver told TIWN correspondent, “This is nothing but a kick upon the stomach of the poor people”.
