AGARTALA, Nov 29 (TIWN): On the day of 12 hrs strike, PCC Chief Birjit Sinha striking the ruling party here said that CPI-M’s ideology is bad and naturally the idea of strike is also bad. One day ago of the strike Sinha via a press meet said that Congress doesn’t support the Modi Govt govt for its demonetization step against Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000’s note; but also as a part of the protest Congress will not go by CPI-M’s 12 hrs strike, which is another way to harass the people.
On Monday during 12 hrs strike TIWN correspondent asked Birjit Sinha, “Why Congress is not supporting the strike?”. In reply Sinha said, “Congress is not supporting the CPI-M as its policy us not good. Whereas the whole India is observing the Akrosh Day, CPI-M in separate, announced a strike. It could fight united and that’s why Congress will not support CPI-M”.
However, regarding the ideology of CPI-M controversy is going on in every political houses. TMC press meet on Nov 22, one day after the bi-election result was heated up when media told Sudip Barman about Bijan Dhar’s indirect comment against TMC and CPI-M’s alliance. When the opposition as (BJP, TMC, Congress) in Tripura in joint vote was greater than CPI-M, then Bijan Dhar in an diplomatic move signaling TMC is CPI-M’s right hand said, “ CPI-M, TMC at Parliament jointly to protest against Demonetization”.
A larger section of press representatives raised the question, ‘Why Dhar exactly mentioned about CPI-M & TMC’s joining after the election result?’. In reply MLA Sudip Barman said, “The task given to CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar is that to keep the oppositions as handicaps by creating various confusions among the mass & he has been successful in it fully. This is the chief reason of TMC’s poor result in bi-election”.
However, after that TMC also learnt a lesson and talking to Asish Saha about strike supporting he said, ‘Strike has been called by CPI-M, and TMC either in WB or here is protesting against the strike. However TMC and Congress as protest against demonetization walked out in two separate rallies at Agartala;but none of them supported the strike called by CPI-M.
The strike has however, caused heavy losses to the poor people, businessmen here, a survey reported.
