AGARTALA, Nov 28 (TIWN): As per declaration and strict watch of Judiciary, the banks remained fully unaffected from the 12 hrs strike in Tripura.

At Agartala all the private banks and the govt banks ran smoothly without any hurdle.

At Melarmath State Bank, ATMs are working smoothly leading public’s lines in the strike day also.

In a press meet on Nov 24 CPI-M State Chairman Khagen Das announced about the strike. Supporting the Anti-Modi parties Das said CPI-M will continue their protest and along with the whole nation, and the state will also observe ‘Akrosh Day’.

On Sunday CM Manik Sarkar also urged people to support the strike like they support the shutdown on Sep 2.

However, as CPI-M in power here, so overusing its power, the party has decided to go for strike.

Few clashes among CPI-M and BJP also occurred in various places of the state.

The business suffered heavily on Monday due to the 12 hrs strike paralyzing the vehicle movement, the daily earning of poor labours and the  shop-keeper’s business.
