AGARTALA / TELIAMURA / AMBASSA, Nov 29 (TIWN): In a sudden hell-fire, 2 persons injured in a firing in Tripura at Mungiakami area, Ambassa-Teliamura road on Monday, which has generated tension across the region. However, from State Govt side there was no declaration about the incident yet and who did the firing it's not yet clear. Talking to Ambassa police, officials said that an incident occurred at Mungiakami area but from the other police stations nothing is clearly informed. Sources said that the injured persons are presently under treatment. Talking to SP West Abhijit Saptarshi he also said that nothing is yet informed officially. If any unwanted incident is there, police will later inform. The incident was held in a running vehicle over NH-44, informed sources. The injured are admitted in Kulai Hospital presently, informed a source.
This is claimed as a millitant attack but sources further said that this attack was most probably done by miscreants who kill deer at forests.
TR013-1865 has been indentified as the vehicle number which was coming from Teliamura and when they were in Ambassa the incident occured.
However, whether it's militant attack or not, its to be seen; but 3 round firing was reported on the spot.
