AGARTALA, Nov 27 (TIWN): The Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Sarkar on Sunday met the Martyr Shambhu Satmura’s family members at their residence.

Satmura’s mother and sister were present on that occasion.

Tripura BSF (107 battalion) Jawan, Satmura, 34, was patrolling along the border in the Jamia Wali Gali area of Poonch district when a mine, laid by the Pakistani army on a slippery slope, exploded, killing him on the spot.

Satmura joined the BSF in 2007 and is survived by his father Shibcharan, 65, mother Beena, 62, elder sister Sima, younger sister Mousumi and wife Shipra, whom he married four years ago.
