More than 50 % teachers in Tripura are u | AGARTALA, Nov 3 (TIWN): A big question mark is on the much claimed 'highest literacy rate' in Tripura among the whole country, after Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty accepted the fact that more than 50 % of the teachers in Tripura are untrained. But a question, which was never asked to the ruling govt of Tripura is--- Who is actually responsible for this present scenario? B.Ed was never considered as an important qualification to get a teacher's job in Tripura. Although for other states B.Ed was made compulsory, but for Tripura it remained as the 3rd option to qualify an oral interview, neither the Tripura Govt encouraged young generation for B.Ed. Moreover, lack of B.Ed Colleges in Tripura since decades had deprived the young generation for long. It was from 2010 that 150 Govt vacant posts for freshers were launched in B.ed College near Agartala Buddha-Mandir, whereas at other private Universities due to high costs students couldn’t complete their B.Ed training. State Ministers busy to propagate CPI-M' | AGARTALA, Nov 2 (TIWN): Ahead of bi-election, Nanadan Nagar villagers led by local women exposed CPI-M’s real face by blocking road in their locality, demanding to solve the ongoing water crisis at there. TIWN correspondent visited the spot during the blockade was held and asked the women about the exact issue. A housewife said, “At Nandan Nagar, irregularity of water supply has become a part of daily miseries for us. Eventhough we raised the issue many times, but the problem of Nadan Nagar was never solvedâ€. “Ministers come and go, visitors also come frequently here and promise us about many initiatives to be taken by them, but till day we are facing bundles of problems everydayâ€. Women further slammed the ruling govt., local panchayat members for their negligence to the rural areas problems. However, eventhough Datamohon Jamatia is to bring back to his earlier position as the law secretary of Tripura, but there is hardly any chance of Tripura govt’s supportive judgment at SC. Tripura Govt has developed another new fashion to challenge the High Court order at SC, for which Govt doesn’t face any fund crisis. After the state govt has started to loose all the cases at Supreme Court now, it’s under huge pressure about 10,323 teacher’s pending case at Supreme Court. The then Chief Justice of Tripura High Court Deepak Gupta in January 2016 issued notice to the Law Secretary Datamohan Jamatia asking him to submit explanation in writing' Why Criminal Contempt of Proceedings' won't be lodged against D M Jamatia for writing insulting remarks on High Court Chief Justice. In scam tainted Tripura under CBI chargesheeted DGP Nagraj, Police in slumber as innocent girls are praying to God for long lives of their brothers, but on same day, an innocent girl child is battling for life with deep injuries on her body after brutal rape by her neighbor. This ghastly crime was exposed when BJP members hit Agartala East Women Police Station on Tuesday demanding strong chargesheet against the accused. Reportedly, on Monday night, 4 yrs girl was raped by her neighbor at Abhoynagar. On Monday midnight around 12 PM Abhoynagar police arrested the accused named Uttam Sarkar (19). On Tuesday morning meeting the victim family, BJP informed TIWN correspondent that rape-victim is being hospitalized and her condition is deteroiting. In a recent development it has been known that whereas all the Northeastern states are implementing 7th Pay Commission, Left-ruled Tripura & Congress-ruled Mizoram have delayed the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) recommendations for their employees. Chief Minister Manik Sarkar already said that as Tripura is a Northeastern state, so it's not possible for the govt to implement 7th pay commission.
