'Democratic, Peaceful Protest is Constit | AGARTALA, March 26 (TIWN): High Court Senior Advocate Purushottom Roy Barman on Friday while addressing media has said that Tripura High Court in its verdict on 10323 teachers' protest demand has expressed surprises over Police's role against Peaceful protest programmes. Addressing media, Purushottom Roy Barman said, "High Court's verdict was in favour of Democratic Agitation Process. Pranab Dey, a teacher among 10323 had filed the petition in High Court after on January 27, police by force had sealed the protest spot and conducted lathi-charge on the teachers and also police denied to give anymore permission to the 10323 teachers to protest further. High Court has said that Peaceful protest is everyone's constitutional right and police can not suppress the protests in this way. High Court indeed expressed surprise over Police's role. 10323 Teachers to Resume Protest : After | AGARTALA, March 26 (TIWN): 10323 Teachers have announced that they are going to resume protest soon. They will take the total decision after holding internal meeting under JMC and very soon will appeal for protest permission. Calling Chief Minister a liar, JMC member Bijoy Krishna Saha told media that High Court clearly has stated that by 28 hours, police have to give response to the permission application and police can't curb citizens' right, though, negotiation can be done about the protest spot but by discussing with the people who applied seeking protest spot. In Stamped Paper, Minister Mebar Jamatia | AGARTALA, March 26 (TIWN): Everything is possible in JUMLA-Era and thus after the massive corruption of Mebar Jamatia was exposed in his own letter written in a stamped paper to SDM seeking land for him, was denied by Minister Ratanlal Nath to accept it as corruption at all. Seeing her condition, the doctor-in-charge referred her to Sabroom Sub-Divisional Hospital after giving her initial treatment. 'Many States have Regularized SSA Teache | AGARTALA, March 23 (TIWN): BJP MLA Sushanta Chowdhury on Tuesday, on 3rd day of Tripura Assembly raised question on why a State Govt should be confused or hesitate to regularize SSA teachers even after High Court's Order, when many other states have already regularized them without Court's permission ? Addressing in the Assembly, MLA Sushanta Chowdhury also reminded Minister Ratanlal Nath about the promises to the SSA teachers about regularization. In Tripura's Biggest Govt Hospital GB, P | AGARTALA, March 23 (TIWN): Patients in GB hospital in front of Sonography section complained about negligence of staffs in GB hospital as they were standing for 5 hours in front of the Sonography testing room but no staff was available to attend the patients. On the one side, patients are helpless, suffering from pains and on the other side, waiting for hours. In various sections of the hospitals, such pathetic conditions have gripped the health services. A pregnant woman who was injured after slipping in her home, was brought to GB hospital and Doctors suggested Sonography test for her. But the family along with the patient were bound to stand before the testing room from 8 am as they had no option except that. If the family was rich, then they would go to private hospitals but for middle class and poor families, Govt hospitals are only support-base but such pathetic conditions only adds negative view among the public about the hospital services.
