AGARTALA, March 23 (TIWN): Students of Bishramganj HS school blocked National Highway showing protest against teacher Ratan Kumar Bhowmik for allegedly hitting a student named David Debbarma of the school.

On March 22, surrounding a small fight between two students at school, Bhowmik allegedly assaulted David physically and started the chaos. Taking on camera, the other faculty members of the school also criticized Bhowmik’s unlawful behavior and informed the concerned authorities and the School Management Committee about this incident.

However, the students sitting in the protest said they won’t lift the blockade until the school takes necessary action on the accused. It remains to be seen what action the SMC will take in this regard.
