AGARTALA, June 25 (TIWN): Tripura High Court has issued a notice to Tripura Govt over illegal job termination of a pump operator which was forcefully done with political vendetta. According to petitioner Biswajit Das’s Advocate Biplab Debnath, “Pump operators had been terminating for a long time in Tripura and in this regard 2 persons from Kamalpur and Teliamura already got back their jobs by filing petitions in the High Court. After seeing this news, my client Biswajit Das from Santir Bazar has filed petition to get back his job which was also illegally snatched under same sector. Biswajit Das was appointed in Laungong Panchayat, R K Ganj, No-2 from the year 2005 but on last 3rd March, 2018, the day of victory of a new party, when Biswajit Das was returning home, the office key from him was snatched by one Prasenjit Pal. Prasenjit Pal had beaten Biswajit Das and broke his leg and further threatened that he will break Biswajit Das’s another leg if he goes to Police Station”.

“After such an incident, Biswajit did not dare to return home and went to Santir Bazars’ relative home. Later after 3 months he filed a case in Police station but as no action was taken, he told the BDO about the matter and then informed DM. He has all the written copies, where he filed a case”, said Advocate Biplab Debnath.

“The DM asked the SP for an investigation. Then on 4/6/2018 Biswajit was called in Santir Bazar PS. But as soon as Biswajit stopped before the police station, Prasenjit Pal was seen with sharp weapons. Then out of fear, Biswajit rushed from the place via the same auto”, said the Advocate.

“But now seeing this case’s verdict, he decided to file petition. Justice Subhasish Talapatra has issued notice to OC-Santir Bazar, SDPO, Gram Pradhan, Panchayat Secretary, BDO. By 1 month they now have to give reply to the Court”, said the Advocate.
