AGARTALA, June 25 (TIWN): With the increasing COVID-19 cases in Northeast, Tripura administrations statewide started massive drive to aware masses at least to wear masks. On Thursday, it was seen that people are not wearing masks, neither the vegetable sellers are wearing masks. In this situation when Tripura touched 1264 cases of COVID-19 positive, administration has taken initiative to aware the masses. DCM Animesh Dhar, while talking to media, an official said that it has been a long time that COVID-19 has gripped the world, but a section of people are yet unwilling to take the matters seriously and thus lots of people are not wearing masks today also. “We are imposing fines on the violators but the point is on regular base drive, same things we are spotting as public are unaware”, said the DCM.Administration is taking more strict actions to tighten the lockdown amid Covid-19 outbreak. Police and administrators are jointly working to ensure COVID-19 related laws proper implementation.

The administration and state police started imposing fines for not wearing face masks in public places.

Across Laxmi Narayan Bari, the drive took place today.

 Such administrative drives against violating rules and regulations in Covid-19 outbreak, will continue in different parts of the capital Agartala, informed by one senior Administrator.
