Unemployment, Poverty problems hit Tripu | AGARTALA, Aug 5 (TIWN): Tripura’s increasing unemployment, job slashing, worklessness situations have created panic across the state. From Educated TET qualified youths to Tom Tom drivers, everywhere a crisis situation erupting resentments among people and the BJP led State Govt is also facing tough situation to handle to problems. 1141 TET qualified youths are jobless whereas poor workers are also facing various problems just like the ongoing tom-tom drivers’ problems. Centre for Monitoring of Indian Economy (CMIE) has revealed its monthly data on Indian state’s unemployment rates, listing Tripura on the top of the list. In compare to last month there is however 3% down in unemployment rate which was 26.6% and this month it stands at 23.3%. Himachal Pradesh emerged in the second position with 19.6% whereas Haryana at 19.5%. CMIE is a database of the financial performance of Indian companies. In a letter from Minister of State Shipping (Independent Charge) Chemical and Fertilizers Mansukh lal Mandavia, it has been told CM Biplab Deb that the letter F.34(5)-TRANS/2018(L)/2016 dated 20.06.2019 regarding construction of temporary jetty on river Gomati from Sonamura up to Doudkandi in Bangladesh as a part of Indo-Bangla Protocol (IBP) route.The Minister said in reply of the letter that he matter was consulted by the Minister with Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI). “After taking a view of the recommendation of the Joint Technical Committee (JTC) of India and Bangladesh Govt has through its High Commissioner in Dhaka, requested Govt of Bangladesh to accord in-principle approval for inclusion of Sonamura-Doudhkandi stretch of Gomati river as a part of the “Indo-Bangladesh Protocol†route. Massive Narcotics Smuggling, Nonstop Yab | AMBASA (Tripura), Aug 2 (TIWN): Yaba tablet addiction has gripped the Northeast state Tripura at the root-level. With 20,000 yaba tablets three youths have been caught by Ambasa Police while carrying huge numbers of yaba tablets via Assam Agartala road. According to police information, getting informed via secret sources Ambassa Police caught a vehicle bearing number TR01 AV 6296 at the Sadhu Tila area, lined by Assam-Agartala national highway. While interacting, 3 of them talked in different manners and gave various versions. Immediately police searched the vehicle and recovered the yaba tablets. Three arrested persons are : 1) Nizam, 2) Jasim, 3) Shahjahan. Three of their homes are Bangladesh bordered Sonamura sub-division. Sonamura has been the biggest corridor for drug smuggling and still continuing as the biggest corridor. SSA Teachers reminded Education Minister | AGARTALA, Aug 2 (TIWN): After 17 months of BJP Govt, as Tripura Govt didn’t work on the regularization of SSA teachers, the teachers have now reminded the Govt with evidences what they promised before election as opposition party. Observing a hunger strike movement of the SSA teachers in 2017 from August 1st to August 7th, the BJP as opposition party not only promised to regularize them but also in its Vision Document BJP scripted promise, “Regularization of all contractual teachers†once BJP came in power.
