Amra Bangali demands restoration of Bangla signboards in Tripura University

AGARTALA, Aug 2 (TIWN): The ongoing controversy about Tripura University signboards’ alphabets are getting fuel as various Bengali backed organizations are coming forward with protests.

Regional party Amra Bangali’s student unit has demanded restoration of Bengali language in Tripura University signboards immediately which have been allegedly replaced recently.

A deputation was placed before the University Vice Chancellor demanding the same.

According to the agitators, even though 70% people of Tripura speak in Bengali but central govt has intrigued to impose Hindi on the Bengali people. This attack is not new on Bengalis by cent.

At the same time, they have demanded employment, filling up of vacant posts in the University in proper ways at the earliest.
