Congress emerging as main opposition party in Tripura

AGARTALA, Aug 2 (TIWN): Dragging CPI-M behind, Congress is moving ahead, in the Panchayat election as the main opposition party CPI-M left with miserable results. The party CPI-M has scored zero, whereas Congress has done good results which was claimed by Congress few hours after the election on July 27.
Congress has scored 5% victory whereas BJP has got 9% and CPI-M zero. This was counted among 15% seats after 86% seats were won by BJP.
BJP has won Panchayat election in Tripura with 95% majority.BJP has won 95% seats in this Panchayat election whereas 86% among them remained uncontested in favour of voting.
Opposition parties were allegedly forced to stand away from the election and 4% withdrew nominations even after submitting.
