2 months of Tripura Polytechnic student | AGARTALA, June 7 (TIWN): Anuara’s death caused various candle march, silent rally, overnight protests in the capital city but Anuara has remained just as a petitioner who is still waiting for justice. However, the Chief Minister of the state Manik Sarkar being the Home Minister too, has not given any objection about police forces wrong doing even after bundles of allegations raised by every sections of the people. Apart from Nur Ahmed, no other family members of Anuara have been arrested whereas Nur Ahmed’s arrest was fully due to the pressure given by students of Polytechnic College on May-12. Tension erupts after South Indian origin | AGARTALA, Jan 7 (TIWN): Not even 24 hours could be passed that a BSF Jawan was killed at Ganachera with AK-47, that another TSR Jawan’s mysterious death reported from Bishalgarh. Tamilnadu resident R Adhikaran (38) was died mysteriously at Gokulnagar TSR camp under Btln 11 on Tuesday in BSF camp complex quarter on Tuesday night. Bishalgarh correspondent reported at latenight that R Adhikaran’s colleagues were unable to tell about the actual reason behind his death. However, the TSR Jawans when brought the body of R Adhikaran in Bishalgarh Hospital, they said electric shock might be the cause of his death but doctors declined to declare anything in advance without post mortem report they get in hand. Tripura Health Dept irregular employees | AGARTALA, June 6 (TIWN): After the forest dept irregular employees were promised by Chief Minister Manik Sarkar that he will take care of their issue keeping election in front, now more contractual employees in Tripura are coming forward, raising voices to be regularized. In a deputation placed to the Health Minister Badal Choudhury on Tuesday, the irregular employees under Health Dept said, “We were working since 20 to 25 years as slip workers in the health dept, but in January 2010 with a DRB order No. F.2.(50)MS/ ESTT/ 2010/ Dated 30th March, 2010 we got the order of DRW with F.2(9-MISC), MS-ESTT/ 2005. But since 7 years we are working on those posts at irregular basis, whereas the regular employees are earning 3 / 4 times more than usâ€. The irregular employees are getting a 5100 rupees (170) per day but that little amount is giving much tough times to manage our family budget". The irregular employees claimed that with 170 per day it is becoming quite impossible to run their families. A deputation following a rally was placed before Tripura Health Minister Badal Choudhury, but nothing was assured by the Minister directly. In this condition resentment have brewed among the deprived employees. Tripura cites example of Humanity : comm | AGARTALA, June 5 (TIWN): Proving Tripura Fire Brigade Service just for name-sake in rescue operation, on Monday Agartala Fire Brigade workers remained silently standing, confused about what to do when a man was drowned in a culvert. The fire service workers neither brought any torch, nor any rope to save him. Seeing the paralyzed condition of the fire service troops, few local men jumped to save him and slowly they walked into the culvert with torches in hands & fortunately the victim was saved. The victim of the incident has been identified as Firoj Mia, but presently he is admitted in GB Hospital. The incident took place at Ranjit Nagar on Monday morning where local people cited example of humanity. Which could not be done by trained fire brigade force of Tripura, the common men have shown.
