AGARTALA, June 6 (TIWN): After the forest dept irregular employees were promised by Chief Minister Manik Sarkar that he will take care of their issue keeping election in front, now more contractual employees in Tripura are coming forward, raising voices to be regularized. In a deputation placed to the Health Minister Badal Choudhury on Tuesday, the irregular employees under Health Dept said, “We were working since 20 to 25 years as slip workers in the health dept, but in January 2010 with a DRB order No. F.2.(50)MS/ ESTT/ 2010/ Dated 30th March, 2010 we got the order of DRW with F.2(9-MISC), MS-ESTT/ 2005. But since 7 years we are working on those posts at irregular basis, whereas the regular employees are earning 3 / 4 times more than usâ€. The irregular employees are getting a 5100 rupees (170) per day but that little amount is giving much tough times to manage our family budget". The irregular employees claimed that with 170 per day it is becoming quite impossible to run their families. A deputation following a rally was placed before Tripura Health Minister Badal Choudhury, but nothing was assured by the Minister directly. In this condition resentment have brewed among the deprived employees. The employees along with regularization demanded a pension scheme and atleast Rs. 5 lakhs on the time of retirement time.
