AGARTALA, June 5 (TIWN): Atleast 2 opposition parties including BJP and Congress have demanded unemployment allowance for state Tripura when 7 lakhs of unemployed youths were reported in state.

Both BJP, Congress have demanded for unemployment allowanced for Tripura's unemployed youths.

Congress earlier during 24 hours strike demanded that when Manik Sarkar in opposition in Congress Era, he demanded unemployment-allowance and now after 24 years of CPI-M regime, the Govt has failed to launch unemployment allowances for its unemployed youths.

However, on Monday BJP also demanded the same during a press conference held at Agartala Krishnanagar Office.

Tripura's unemployment toll has increased upto 8 lakhs and thousands of contractual workers, govt employees are losing their jobs due to recruitment scams held in last few decades under left front govt.

In this situation, oppositions have demanded unemployment allowance can give a minimum relief to the unemployed youths as well it proves Govt's liabilities for the unemployment tolls.
