Citizenship Amendment Bills lapsed in Ra | New Delhi / Agartala, Feb 13 (TIWN): The Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) lapsed in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday after the house was adjourned sine die on the last day of the Budget session. The bill had been facing strong resistance from the opposition and some of BJP's own allies. Adjournment sine die (from the Latin "without day") means "without assigning a day for a further meeting or hearing". To adjourn an assembly sine die is toadjourn it for an indefinite period. A legislative body adjourns sine die when itadjourns without appointing a day on which to appear or assemble again. According to the Rajya Sabha Legislative Procedure, a bill pending in the Upper House which has not been passed by Lok Sabha does not lapse on the dissolution of the Lower House. Tripura TET exam in ‘abeyance†| AGARTALA, Feb 12 (TIWN): Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) in Tripura on the verge of abolition under BJP led State Govt, as with another ‘shock’ for the unemployed youths, Tripura Govt has stopped the TET exam for an uncertain period of time. Many families were attacked on yesterday night, their houses were vandalized by BJP goons at Bagma.
