AGARTALA, Feb 11 (TIWN): Opposition CPI-M has demanded action against BJP miscreants who in groups have attacked Ex-Minister Badal Chaudhury and other senior CPI-M leaders on Sunday.
CPI-M Minister Badal Chaudhury, MP Shankar Prasad Datta, ex-MLA Basudeb Majumder and many more CPI-M leaders were attacked at Paschim Pahar area near Ekinpur of Belonia under South Tripura District.
After the attack, Badal Chaudhury said, “The miscreants blocked our road with trees and various means. Police were in less number and thus didn’t dare to fight against them. Anyhow after talking to them (BJP miscreants), we crossed the area”.
“Then we were on the way to return at Ekinpur they (BJP bike team) again stopped us. They didn’t allow us to enter anymore house at there. They attacked us, stone pelted and attacked police too. For half an hour such attacks continued”, he told media
Then with TSR force, more numbers of police came and anyhow via border routes we came out.
Badal Chaudhury further raised question on much hyped law and order by PM Modi.
CPI-M has sought action against the miscreants.
