AGARTALA, Feb 13 (TIWN): After month-long protest rallies against Citizenship Amendment Bill, now Tripura Royal scion Pradyot Manikya has announced a massive Victory rally as Rajya Sabha on Wednesday was adjourned sine die till June without passing the controversial Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB).

After the lapse of the CAB, Pradyot Manikya posted in his facebook, “It’s a victory for those who have opposed the Citizenship amendment Bill “FOR NOW” but we will be watching the centre in the coming weeks what they do . The protests and opposition by all of you has ensured that the Government of India has had to back down . To those who were blindly taking the governments side and supporting the bill ,your own sarkar has let you down by backing out under pressure . This is the victory of every person who has supported us in opposing the bill . We May be small in numbers but we are united #PoilaJatiUloParty was our slogan and the people have won not any political party . Now I propose a massive victory rally for our people in tripura to mark the victory for our people”.

As Rajya Sabha on Wednesday was adjourned sine die after it returned the vote-on-account, Finance Bill and Appropriation Bill to the Lok Sabha and passed the Personal Laws Amendment Bill and he government could not get the controversial Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), so Tripura is in celebrating temper where before 36 days 6 youths were hit by Police bullet while protesting against this controversial bill.
