AGARTALA, Feb 13 (TIWN): With a shocking development, Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) backed Jamatia Hoda (Hoda means Hindu) group has also protested against Citizenship Amendment Bill.

However, leading figure of Jamatia Hoda Ramapada Jamatia who has been the president of Jamatia Hoda is now a BJP MLA, yet to raise voice against CAB.

Jamatia Hoda works for Jamatia Community’s development and they have a school at Atharobla in Udaipur. This school also has hostel and 3 times prayers are held in school and hostel. Their God is Baba Garia.

Congress leader, Royal scion Pradyot Manikya after the Hoda group’s announcement said, “The Jamatia Hoda had come to meet me and invited me to attend some of their programmes. a few days ago .I told them that whatever their religious affiliation is their Jati should be above their religious preference otherwise I will not do so and that they should oppose the Citizenship Amendment Bill publicly and not in privately .I am glad that they have done so . Very proud of this and I will always be a part of any Hoda which will put people over their political and religious affiliation . Wonder what happened to the likes of Rampada Jamatia ? Now I hope that the Tripura Kshatriya Samaj will also speak up on this issue”.
